Katie has worked in strategic writing, tender development, program management, partnership development and evaluation across university, non-profit and corporate sectors both in Australia and overseas. In the university sector, she has driven internal strategies to diversify research funding and has written winning federal and state government tender submissions, ARC Linkage Project applications, proposals targeting industry, sectoral briefs, and analyses of funding opportunities. Her passion for facilitating research with real-world impact has led her to develop innovative multidisciplinary partnerships between universities, government and industry. While working at the University of Sydney she regularly represented the university on government-led committees including the SME-University Collaboration Committee, the “Tech-Central” Innovation Precinct Working Group (Transport for NSW), and the Family Planning NSW Ethics Committee.
